Update: we have received our luggage!!! Thanks to our new friend Edwin who delivered them to us at the soccer fields. He then kindly drove us and our luggage back to the house for us to unpack.
Earlier today, before the soccer match, we stopped by Ms. Mono’s house to look at her handmade satchels, pouches, aprons, and other neat items made out of African fabric (chitenges). We each purchased something from her on the spot, we plan to return later with our chitenges for her to make us dresses.
After watching a little bit of the soccer game, in which Ian was able to play with the college boys, we finished unpacking and went to dinner. Tonight’s menu consisted of GRILLED CHEESE (awesomeness), carrots, and chips. For those of you who are unaware of the fact that I heart salsa DEARLY, then you may not realize the excitement I had when I was able to FINALLY use my salsa from my missing suit case at dinner :)
We headed back to our house in hopes of blogging, facebooking, and emailing, but of course the internet was a no go. Boo. Instead, Caroline lead Rachel, Sarah, Catherine, and me in another session of “Zumba in Zambia” followed by 5 minute abs with Catherine. I think we provided some entertainment to the fellow group members sitting in the main room. It was a lot of fun.
