Circle of Life

"Circle of Life" Choolwe was my Simba!
We are wrapping up the end of week two at the Haven as well as my first week of feeding/swallowing therapy. We continued to have a successful day with the infants. Haven 1 by the end of the day was too tired and hungry to focus on any therapy through all the tears, so we provided a lot of love and care while we fed each infant.
Feeding the newest baby to the Haven, Hunter.

Blog readers meet Darcie. She is PRECIOUS right!??!! She is also the "culprit" I mentioned in yesterdays post who pooped on me. Well today she greeted me with throw up. Awesome. But you saw that face, I can't help but smile through it all!
We are needing additional prayers for more infants at the Haven. Megan and Kelly who are both babies at Haven 1, are each struggling, however at this time we are unsure of their exact problems. Megan is very tired lately and Kelly has shallow breathing. So just keep praying!
On a positive note: Lots of progress in feeding was being made over at Haven 3 today. Choolwe was able to eat rice milk (thicker than normal milk, fed through a spoon) huge accomplishment. Catherine and I also fed Amanda and Bennett some baby food, which they seemed to enjoy.

Update on Sidney: she is doing better today. She spent the majority of the day in her bed though, hopefully tomorrow we will see her out and about.

  1. I have a very important question for you...
Do you have a Bump-it in Africa or is the lack of consistent hair washing causing your poof to be extra poofy?

  2. bahaha! You know I would never wear one of "those" missy! The secret to the "extra poofy" is definetly the lack of washing :)
