Precious Kelly

This morning we found out that our precious Kelly passed away last night. She was just 6 months old. This afternoon we went to the burial, which was one of the hardest things I have had to witness. Plenty of tears were shed. It is comforting to know she is at peace now with our Heavenly Father.

"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:10

We worked a half day at the Haven then prepared for the festivities of Ian’s birthday party at Jordan’s Rock. While at the Haven I needed some baby holding time, so I picked me up a crying Janna who I have now decided is the third member to “my family”.
Shawn and Darcie are the other two members. They have already been informed of my plan which involves me taking them back to the U.S. with me and being brothers and sisters; so they have spent some quality time together. Today I held Shawn while Janna played next to me (quite unhappy that the attention was no longer on her).

Look at that FACE!!!! Love my boy Shawn

Nita and Ross found their way into the toy box with all the toys on the outside

During lunch Catherine, Meghann, Jaime, and I made some homemade guacamole (ooh yessss!) we even picked the lemons fresh from the tree in the Hamby’s backyard.

For Ian's birthday party we went into the "bush" (rural parts of Africa) to go to Jordan’s Rock.

Leonard had a table set up with the food and bamboo blankets to sit on around the camp fire. It was AH-mazing! We roasted hot dogs, ate chips and SALSA plus the guacamole. And of course this was all to celebrate Ian’s 13th birthday :) We even planned a special moment with D.T. and mini D.T...

We played the "Circle of Life" while the sunset as they reenacted the scene from Lion King
